About Beth Erwin
When it comes to real estate, there are certain truths that everyone must eventually learn, regardless of location or market. In a given year, more than 90% of real estate transactions that meet or exceed a property’s full market value (FMV) are handled by less than 10% of agents in the field. Many individual things can account for this, but they all have one thing in common: experience. I have over 20 years’ worth.
If your average homeowner were to earn their real estate license, they’d feel like the smartest people they know. If they helped someone sell or buy a home, they’d realize their education alone is not enough to succeed. Needless to say, they’d have a profound respect for the knowledge and drive it takes to be successful in this field. So I chose to go the extra distance to become a REALTOR®. This requires much more learning, much of it legal, and much more oversight to maintain membership. At the core of it is the Code of Ethics.
This requires us to be completely honest, transparent, and respectful of our clients, our fellow agents, and their clients. It also requires maintaining loyalty and legal responsibility for our clients from start to finish. Even after learning all of this and being held to an impossibly high standard, there are still lessons learned along the way from personal experience and from the experiences of the many agents. This accounts for why very many agents quit within the first year. This is why the information can be the same over the phone but follow a different path when taking action. Let me offer you my insights on a free call, so you can learn your options clearly.
